Os 163 trabalhadores chineses resgatados de condições análogas à escravidão na obra de construção da montadora chinesa BYD, em Camaçari, na Região Metropolitana de Salvador, foram vítimas de tráfico internacional de pessoas. A informação foi confirmada nesta quinta-feira (26) pelo Ministério Público do Trabalho (MPT) após uma audiência virtual realizada entre as empresas envolvidas e órgãos públicos.

Segundo o MPT, a BYD e a construtora terceirizada JimJiang Open Engineering concordaram em abrigar os trabalhadores em hotéis até que as negociações para a rescisão dos contratos de trabalho seja concluída.

As empresas ainda terão que encaminhar os chineses para emitirem o F (Cadastro de Pessoa Física), para receberem os pagamentos no Brasil dos valores da rescisão e indenização. Eles primeiro serão encaminhados à Polícia Federal (PF) para obterem o Registro Nacional Migratório (RNM) e depois para a Receita Federal.

A contratante também está obrigada a comprar agens e custeio de até 120 dólares americanos como ajuda de custo para a viagem de volta à China de sete empregados. O retorno deles está previsto para o dia 1º de janeiro.

Uma nova reunião está marcada para o dia 7 de janeiro, em que será apresentada uma proposta de termo de ajuste de conduta, para avaliação das empresas investigadas.
